What is a pawn?

A pawn includes depositing an item of value with a pawnbroker as a security for money lent.


Is there an age requirement to participate in a pawn transaction?

In order to participate in a pawn, trade, or sale transaction, you must be at least 18 years old.


How do payments work?

Applicable fees are charged monthly. and must be paid by the due date, every 30 days unless otherwise specified.


How do i make my payment?

You may make a payment in person or over the phone at then location where your loan originated. (see the Locations page of our website for information specific to each location)

You may also make your payments 24/7 through our website by clicking here (PAY ONLINE) . You will see a Pay Online option at the top right-hand corner of the website. Be sure to select the correct location. If you are not sure which location, you can find a picture of each store on the Locations page of our website.

What if i’m late making my payment?

There are NO LATE FEES. We allow a 5-day grace period from the due date. After the 5-day grace period, the pawn falls under the next months’s interest of 22%. Any Pawn over 30 days late may be sold without further notice.




Who can redeem a pawned item?

A pawned item is redeemable only by the bearer of the pawn ticket or by identification of the person making the pawn. Tennessee state law requires all pawns to be held 48 hrs.




What can i pawn?

Jewelry, guns, tools, electronics, musical equipment and entertainment memorabilia are among the most popular, but these are not the only items we take. Items must be in good, working condition. Items will be examined by an experienced pawn broker to determine pawn value. Music City Pawn reserves the right to refuse any item for any reason.
